Good Friday

Leadership reflections from Good Friday

April 18, 20251 min read

Today is Good Friday for many in the Christian tradition. It is a time where Christians celebrate the impending death and foreshadowed resurrection of Jesus on Easter.

Two leadership thoughts come from this.

First, good leaders lead diverse teams even when everyone may not have the same goals. Judas was the finance guy even though Matthew had been vocationally a finance guy. Jesus was giving Judas a chance to change his life. Somewhere along the way Judas grew frustrated and his attention shifted to what he would get of the relationship even to the point of betrayal.

Great leaders know those that everyone won't buy in but still gives everyone the opportunity. Jesus knew that Judas would betray him and lead to his death but he still loved Judas and offered him grace till the very end of his life.

Its hard to be a good leader. Its harder to be a great leader but with grace and determination it is possible.
